Counseling Center Offerings:

  • Biofeedback- Helps with test anxiety, general relaxation. 

  • 10 Days to Self Esteem- Training to help you change the way you think feel and behave.

  • Communicating With Confidence- Structured group to practice ways of communication.

  • Gaining Control of Emotional Eating- Sessions focus on body image, managing feelings, setting goals, and coping strategies.

  • Understanding You and Others- Structured exercises to explore your own values and experience the values of others.

  • Undergraduate Women's Group- Weekly group, topical issues, held at the Counseling Center.

  • Undergraduate Men's Group-  Weekly group, topical issues, held at the Counseling Center.

  • Coed Group-  Weekly group, topical issues, held at the Counseling Center.

    - Tuesday Rap Groups - Facilitated discussion groups. Includes Grrrl Talk, Queer People of Color, Guy Talk, and Fluidity.
    - Monday Online Chats - An anonymous chat room facilitated by Peer Connections Online Support Buddies
    ** Please note: Monday Online Chats and Tuesday Rap Groups provide SAFE SPACE for people exploring sexual orientation or gender identity issues. Please only attend if you identify with the target audience.
    - Allies Seminars - 3-hour workshops for UCR students, staff, and faculty wishing to learn how to be supportive of the LGBT community.
