Open to high school seniors who have been admitted to UCR and meet the University Honors eligibility requirements. Minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.80, as calculated by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Early-March to Mid-March. Requires:
(1) Reflective Essay
(2) Leadership Essay
Excellent high school record of:
(1) Scholarship
(2) Leadership
(3) Community service

Open to incoming transfer students who meet the University Honors eligibility requirements. Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.50 from transfer institution. Early-April to Mid-April Requires:
(1)Leadership Essay
(2) Reflective Essay
Excellent academic record from transfer institution and:
(1) Demonstrated leadership
(2) Community involvement
(3) Interest in pursuing undergraduate research

NOTES:

  • UCR students admitted to University Honors will be conditionally admitted based on their cumulative GPA at the end of winter quarter. Official admission will be confirmed upon review of the cumulative GPA after spring quarter.
  • UCR students applying to University Honors must be in good standing with the Office of Student Conduct and Academic Integrity.
  • Students who are admitted into University Honors will officially join the program in fall quarter.
