Incoming Freshman Orientation

Honors, the place to make a difference

University Honors Orientation

Students admitted to University Honors as an incoming first-year student (i.e., from high school) will be required to attend Session 1 of Highlander Orientation at the beginning of July. At Session 1 of Highlander Orientation, students (and parents) will have an opportunity to meet University Honors staff members and faculty and will receive registration information and enrollment assistance from University Honors Counselors.

Students admitted to University Honors as incoming transfer students will receive additional information from UCR pertaining to Highlander Orientation for Transfers, which will occur in late-August. At Highlander Orientation for Transfers, students will have an opportunity to meet University Honors staff members and faculty and will receive registration information and enrollment assistance from University Honors Counselors.

If you have questions about how to register for Highlander Orientation for Freshmen or for Transfers, please contact Highlander Orientation staff here

If you are a current UCR student accepted into University Honors (i.e., current first-year and second-year students only), you do not need to attend a University Honors Orientation during Highlander Orientation. You will receive welcome information via e-mail with course, requirements, and other relevant information.
