Requirements
Year 1 Requirements:
- Courses
- FALL: ONLY ONE Ignition Seminar (HNPG016, HNPG017, or HNPG018) | 4 units | LG
- WINTER: (RLST012H or ETST012H) | 4 units | LG
- SPRING: (HIST015H) | 4 units | LG
- Attend an Ambassador Hangout in fall quarter between weeks 2-8. Appointments must be made at least 48 hours in advance or you will be removed from the hangout. To schedule an Ambassador Hangout, click here.

*First year students should have passed ENGL001B prior to fall of their second year.*
Year 2 (New & Continuing Requirements):

- FALL: HNPG002W | 4 units | LG; ENGL007 | 0.5 units | S/NC
- WINTER: none, unless you are graduating in 3 years or will be on leave at any time of your 3rd year, then speak to your counselor immediately to see if enrollment in HNPG150 is appropriate.
- SPRING: none, unless you are graduating in 3 years or will be on leave at any time of your 3rd year, then speak to your counselor immediately to see if enrollment in HNPG199H is appropriate.
- New and Continuing 2nd years are required to attend group counseling with their assigned Honors Counselor in winter quarter between weeks 2-4. Appointments must be made by Friday of week 1 of winter quarter. You will receive the form to sign up for your mandatory group counseling session from your designated Honors counselor via email.

Year 3 (Continuing) Requirements:

- WINTER: HNPG150 | 3 units | LG
- SPRING: HNPG198H | 1 unit | LG; work on capstone
- Attend group counseling with your assigned Honors Counselor in fall quarter between weeks 2-3. Appointments must be made by Friday of week 1 of fall quarter. You will receive the form to sign up for your mandatory group counseling session from your assigned Honors counselor via email.

Year 3 (New & Transfer Students) Requirements:

- FALL: HNPG149 | 1 unit | S/NC; secure a faculty mentor
- WINTER: HNPG150 | 3 units | LG
- SPRING: HNPG198H | 1 unit | LG; work on capstone
- Both new & transfer 3rd year students are required to attend group counseling with their assigned Honors Counselor in fall quarter between weeks 2-3. Appointments must be made by Friday of week 1 of fall quarter. You will receive the form to sign up for your mandatory group counseling session from your assigned Honors counselor via email.

Year 4 Requirements:
- Courses
- FALL: HNPG199H | 1 unit | LG; work on capstone
- WINTER: HNPG199H | 1 unit | LG; majority of capstone should be completed
- SPRING: HNPG199H | 1 unit | LG; (week 6): Capstone submission & presentation
- Attend group counseling with your assigned Honors Counselor in fall quarter between weeks 4-5. Appointments must be made by Friday of week 1 of fall quarter. You will receive the form to sign up for your mandatory group counseling session from your assigned Honors counselor via email.

Recurring Requirements
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.25, or above, at the end of every spring quarter.
- Submit a mandatory, online survey in winter quarter. (The form will be e-mailed to your UCR email account.) Students who do not complete this survey will have a hold placed on their spring quarter registration.
- Complete all other surveys administered by Honors.
- Honors Counselors are available for additional meetings all year, but you must meet with them in the specified quarter to fulfill the requirement.
Honors Status
Students in University Honors who are not in good standing will be discontinued from the program. To remain in good standing, students must ensure that they complete all requirements for their cohort by the designated deadlines. Students who fail to satisfy any requirement will be discontinued from University Honors.
