Honors Ambassadors

The University Honors Ambassador Program is a competitive leadership opportunity for any Honors student who wishes to develop leadership, event management and interpersonal skills. University Honors Ambassadors work with the Honors staff to enhance student development through peer mentorship, workshops, and extracurricular activities for Honors students.

University Honors Ambassadors consist of four teams, each working on a particular focus area associated with the University Honors Three Pillars of Excellence. Each Ambassador is assigned to a focus area and will develop and execute events or activities that encompass their assigned focus area.

  • Build professional developmental experience
  • Network with faculty, staff, & campus partners
  • Help build a community of motivated and talented honors students
  • Be eligible for $1500 honors leadership scholarship
  • Be a current 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year student
  • Minimum 3.300 cumulative gpa
  • Be available for entire academic year
  • Commit 5-8 hours per week
  • Application open winter 2019 for 19-20 days
  • Attend and participate in mandatory trainings and meetings
  • Develop & execute at least one event or activity per quarter
  • Assist & promote honors sponsored events & activities
  • Support & mentor new incoming university honors students
  • Provide ideas & feedback related to building the university honors community
